Elfangor's [More Important] gift, Not the cube.

Al Fangor's friends "Bill" and "Steve"? His location in Southern california in the Andalite Chronicles?

Bumping human computing technology 10-15+ years forward makes a huge difference in the ability of humans to resist the Yeerks and in the timeline discussed here.

No Elfangor creeping around SoCal in 1980 --> No massive computing empires of Apple/Microsoft --> no human Z-space transmitter made by Marco's dad at that exact point in time --> no warning the Andalites of the Anati ambush --> Flagship Andalite fleet exterminated by Dracon Cannon. ----> Yeerks win the war.

Just sayin'.

Another explanation for why Ellimist allowed Elfangor to spend all that time on Earth before returning him to his "proper time line." Sneaky bastard.
