Thank you.  :)
And, yes, it's a one-shot, though I will probably write more Karen fic in the future.

wow, that was really good. loved it! you did so much with so little.

I really do like Karen and Aftran. I really liked how the three (Karen, Aftran, and Cassie) had like multiple themes going and how sad it all was!

 thanks!

This is very well done, Odette. :D
Honestly, if you wanted to take this MUCH farther, you COULD. Your ending gives peace, but it sufficiently inconclusive to provide for a plot.

I'll not tell you how to write, though. :)
The universe is, instant by instant, re-created anew. There is, in truth, no Past, only a memory of the Past. Blink your eyes, and the world you see next did not exist when you closed them. The only appropriate state of the mind is surprise. The only appropriate state of the heart is joy. The sky you see now, you have never seen before. The perfect moment is now. Be glad of it.

Haha, probably I could, Estelore, but for some reason I'm not one for multi-chaptered fics.

And thank you.  :)

Pray forgive me for bumping this, after so long.

Today I remembered this fanfic. The last time I read it was two years ago, and back then it carried deep meaning for me. The second reading brought an ache in my heart and mind, because the person I was two years ago found this to be a healing thing to read, but the person I am now finds it a pale echo of memory.

Sometimes re-reads do that to you, y'know?

I still love it, no question.

There are people in RAF who were not here two years ago. I hope they find this as worthy as I did.

Absolutely fantastic. I was just rereading #19 tonight, oddly enough. It made a very fitting epilogue.
