There was a second non-Kanto-ite nearby, watching the interaction. Mel had to stay the night as well while her Rapidash was treated. She had her Braviary, from her native Unova, in its pokeball because it was too big to be flapping around the center, but she did have her third pokemon, a Gible, munching a snack next to her as she finished up her meal.

"Cool, another traveler." she commented. "Haven't been to Hoenn yet myself, but I hear it's nice."

"Hi! Always good to meet new folks! What's your name mate?" Geoffrey asked. He eyed the trainer's Gible.

'What is with this guy? He doesn't seem to know how to have a good time. Heck, or even have a laugh!' Geoffrey thought to himself still smiling.
