I is creative. :P This is a 1x1 RP for characters that me and Seal have been kinda working on for a while now, and are just getting around to actually writing for. So, sorry, but this RP is closed. Feel free to follow along and enjoy though, and even comment, if you care to.

Jackson stood on the rooftop, arms crossed. He wore all black: black jeans, black tee, black ball cap, low over his eyes. He also wore all black work gloves, with the fingertips removed. Nothing of much interest was happening this evening. At least not in this part of town. He closed his eyes, taking in his surroundings. His focus was broken by two tiny beeps from his phone. He flipped it open, and read the message. "Looks like I'll be heading out, then." he said to no one. He walked to another ledge, glanced at the skyscraper looming a block or two across the street right ahead. He took a giant leap, landing on a nearby rooftop in a low crouch. In just about five minutes or so - maybe seven - he'd be at his friend's place. Maybe "friend" wasn't the exact right word, but it worked for his purposes tonight.

Jackson climbed in through the window shortly after it was opened. Casually, he pulled out the desk chair and took a seat, tossing his legs up on the desk and crossing his arms. "Got your text. What's up?"

BJ threw a newspaper article at his partner

"I'm sure you've already heard on the news but there's been a string of robberies in this part of town" he explained "I was thinking we could spend the night investigating it. Maybe catch whosoever is breaking into these houses and collect the reward money"

"You don't say..." Jackson mutters as he glances at the article. He actually hadn't heard anything about it. In fact, he hadn't paid attention to the news all day. He'd been... occupied. "Yeah, I uh, didn't catch that yet. Sounds like as good a plan as any to me. I wish the stupid newspaper would give better details though. But yeah, I don't have any plans, so let's do it."

"Well" BJ said after changing into his hero outfit

"Let's get going"

He used his powers to make a board out of ice and flew out the window on it.

He gets up and walks back over to the window, and reaches for his hat... which isn't on his head. "Oh, duh." He holds his hand out towards it on the desk, and it  leaps towards him. He fits it on snugly, low over his eyes. He hated the mask thing that BJ liked so much, but he had to have some kind of way to hide his identity a bit better. Since he kept his hair so short anyways, it completely hid it from view. No one could even tell what color what little hair he had was.

He repositions his "utility" belt, and leans on the windowsill. "Ready when you are, bub."

Jackson looked at his friend as he zipped off into the skyline. He watched incredulously as he was left behind by his teammate. Some teammate. He groaned. "You know I hate playing tag..." He muttered as he leaped out the window in an unreasonable long-jump. He landed on a rooftop, and skidded on the gravel before coming to a stop. He considered yanking BJ off his board, but.. nah, that wouldn't be cool. He looked around. "Well, crud... GET BACK HERE YOU MORON!!!"

A dark thundercloud suddenly rolled across the sky, hard to see against the nighttime.  It was moving freakishly fast, though there was no wind felt, even though the cloud could have been blown by a hurricane at that speed.  Deep within the cloud, a lightning bolt jumped around, a small ribbon of electricity dancing through the thunderhead.

The cloud suddenly seemed to dip lower in the sky, the lightning bolt sparking with more intensity.  The whole cloud was illuminated.  Then, the bolt suddenly flew down from the cloud, zigzagging across the sky.  It was moving slow, for a lightning bolt, even though most people wouldn't have time to react before it struck.

ZzzzzZZZZBANG!

With a sound that was almost like a cross between a lightning strike and an explosion, the bolt hit the ground a few feet from Jackson.  Light shot everywhere, and in just as many seconds, it had vanished.  In the place of the bolt was a slightly crispy girl who was swaying on her feet.  "The Storm is HERE!"  She declared dramatically, throwing out her arms.  Then she focused.  "Jackson?"  A grin crossed her face.  "Hey, it worked!"

The girl proceeded to pass out at Jackson's feet.

The hairs on his neck stood on end, and Jackson turned around, itching his neck as he did. His eyes widened as he saw a freak storm come bearing down on him. It was small, and contained, and unnatural. That scared him. He reached out a hand to Pull for some of the random scraps on the rooftop, but before he could -

ZzzzzZZZZBANG!

He fell back, and landed on his rear and lower back, catching himself before hitting his head. He wasn't injured, but it hurt, a lot. He wasn't even aware that he'd let out a shout.

Slight wisps of smoke rose from the girl standing in front of him. If it was possible, his eyes widened even farther. Aw, Heck no... "What the-?" He started. But then she fell almost comically to the floor in a heap. He stood up, dusted off his rump, and crossed his arms, shaking his head. He debated with himself whether or not he should even bother helping his twin sister get her face out of the pavement. After all, she *had* put it there herself. Like always. After a moment's consideration, he used his foot to somewhat gently flip her over onto her back before starting to walk off towards the building's edge. "BJ? Where'd ya go?" He muttered, frustrated.

"I'm right here" BJ said, flying back to Jackson "Sorry. I forgot you're slow"

BJ noticed the unconscious girl on the ground and immediately recognized her

"Your sis trying to tag along again?"

Jackson sneered. "Not flying doesn't make me slow." He was mostly joking, though it was probably hard to tell since he was so irritated. He wasn't exactly ecstatic over this little 'family reunion'.  It wasn't the worse thing in the world, but... eh, it was complicated.

"Yeah, I guess so. I don't know. Sure as heck scared the snot out of me there. Oh, did you see? There was this lightning bolt, and blam, here's Little Miss Storm Cloud, right at my feet. Passed out. I didn't do it, I swear. Musta taught herself a new trick."

He took off his cap and ran a hand through his bristly short black hair. He then threw the hat at his sister. "You just gonna lie there all day, Sleeping Beauty?"

"Hey!"  June jerked upright as Jackson's hat hit her in the face.  "Whoa!  Energy!  Awake!  Man, was that awesome or was that AWESOME, brother?"  She jumped upright, windmilling her arms to retain balance.  "I mean, the ENERGY!  I was all like, SHAZAM!  And you were all like, WHOA!"  She grinned at her twin, shoving her shoulder-length black hair out of her eyes.  She had dyed vibrant purple streaks in it since she had last seen Jackson.  All of a sudden, she staggered.  "Oh, hey, energy and sleepy all at once.  You ever felt that?  BJ!"  She suddenly noticed her brother's friend.  She gave him a quick energetic hug.  "Haven't seen you in FOREVER!  Oh, and one for you, of course!"  June grabbed Jackson up in a hug, squeezing as hard as she could with her same huge grin plastered all over her face.

"Uh...hey there..." BJ said "You're awfully chipper"

"Just found my bro again," June said, releasing said bro.  "Why shouldn't I be?  After I ran away a couple of years ago I haven't talked to him at all!  And now we're face-to-face, meaning happy me!"

"Erg! Crushing! Squeezing!" He said. June was deceptively strong, for her size at least. She was only a few inches shorter than him, but still. She let up, and he put his hands on her shoulders and held her out at arm's length. He looked at her beaming smile... and was suddenly utterly confused inside. He'd always figured that after what had happened....

"Yeah, I'm glad to see you too, sis. I don't... get it. Where'd you come from? You just... how did...?" He didn't even know what he was trying to say. He looked at the streak of vibrant purple, and grinned. "Mom would so kill you...."

June's smile vanished for a second at the mention of her mother, but reappeared, though it was strained.  "Kind of why I did it," she said laughingly, tracing a stripe.  "And I've been trying to find you for so long, Juuuuuuackson!"  She had started to say her brother's real name, but he hated that, so she refrained.  "Since I...bailed...a few years ago I've been so bored.  You make things exciting by just being there.  Must be your knack for making things break," she concluded thoughtfully.

Jackson squinted. "You... came here... because you were bored?" He let his hands fall to his sides. "There's just so much I don't get here, June. I can't - " he stopped at the sound of an alarm in the near distance. He turned to look at BJ. "..you don't think that could be our guy, would it?"

June's smile dropped a few molars.  "Actually...I..." she began very quietly, almost inaudible.  Jackson didn't seem to hear as her words were covered up by an alarm.  June let out a quiet sigh.  This could wait.  She forced her excitement to come back.  She could deal with this without Jackson's help, she was a strong girl.  But for now... "What are you guys doing?"  She asked, punching the air a couple of times as she continued.  "Fighting crime?  Dealing justice?"  She grinned at them.  "Can I help?"

"We're actually just patrolling the city" Blue said "There's been a string of robberies and we're trying to find out who's behind them. You can come too if you want or....if it's alright with your brother"

June waved a dismissive hand.  "I won't listen to him anyway," she said brightly.  "It doesn't matter!"

"Uh... sure." He said. Why bother disagreeing with someone who could apparently travel through lightning? What would be the point in that? And besides.... he didn't want to chase her off, not just yet at least. He was still so.... lost.

"Just try to not have too much fun, okay, Sparky?" He grins before diving headfirst off the building's edge. It was mostly for the dramatic appeal, considering he immediately stuck himself to the wall and crawled down, rather than free-fall. He wasn't stupid. A blinking red light suggested to him that there was an 'after hours customer' at the jewelry outlet on the block corner. He wondered if they'd be there still. Whoever 'they' were....
