We should ask this potential Erek king what he knows about an Animorphs contest from long ago...Someone email/message him.
Meh.

Not many people remember what happened 14 1/2 years ago.
I may seem like an idiot, but trust me: I know what I'm talking about.

Yeah, but winning a contest like that has GOT to be cool enough to remember. Especially if he was a fan, which I imagine he was considering that he entered the contest in the first place.

Oh man, what a joke to backfire! lol! Could you imagine, if that was the case, how that would have felt when the winners were announced?

It'd be even worse if he didn't find out about it until 14 1/2 years later... through email from some random stranger on RAF no less.

Erek is one of my all time favorite book characters ever.

Of course he felt remorse, if you count both the hosts and the yeerks that's almost a hundred people he butchered

Of course he killed them quickly and painlessly, I always assumed he must have had some sort of energy projection device like Iron man's repulsors, first because it took him about ten seconds to destroy around two dozen human controllers and two dozen hork bajir controllers, second it took him less than ten minutes to get from his house in the middle of the city to the pemalite ship 3 miles under the ocean, and third because Jake said it felt odd blackmailing a creature that could obliterate him down to his individual molecules.

Book 30: Visser 1 realizes that the Animorphs might be human when she remembers that she doesn't recall ever hearing about any Human-Controllers getting killed in the war!  But wouldn't she hear about the 2 dozen Human-Controllers Erek killed in book 10?

Maybe not. V3 might have covered up the loss of a valuable piece of advanced technology.
