Nah that's fully...no fun. :p Part of the craziness is having the three-way Highest game, and you're a great writer. :}

Also, I'm starting to notice that "in a lake" is the rough equivalent of "getting put on a bus" in the GESB. XD

Beh, I've been more delayed than I thought. Mar, me, and two other people just self-published a book, on both Amazon and Smashwords. It is dystopian, urban fantasy Superhero fiction with people of marginalized sexual orientations as main characters. It is obsessed with and heavily plays with the concept of morality and Superhero fiction. It is, to those less liberal, highly individualistic and promotes free will, agency, and choice as ideals.

So uhm, shameless plug over! :}

If I was going to write a book with a message, I'd do a fantasy book with a Paladin's coming of age story where he finds out everything isn't so black and white. I simultaneously feel that this kind of story is both overdone, and underdone. We've all seen it before, but it's the kind of anvil that needs to be dropped in my opinion.

Our intentions were less to drop an anvil and more to speculate on the question everybody asks but nobody answers: "Why the hell are average people so incompetent in Superhero stories? We have nukes. Only Superman could survive some of our weapons. We have research and development teams, too. What kind of world would allow for the playful, constant destructive violence superheroes cause?"

Answer: "A very corrupt world run by rich people with superpowers." :P

That and heck, dystopians are fun. XD Many of the characters are neuroatypical and gay-ish...because we are. ;)

As for the Paladin story, that would be super cool. :D

Sure. You start off with a young man going off on his own, being raised to think certain things. Then he runs across something that conflicts with his views. Willful ignorance and extremism would be main themes. Clerics trying to drive a necromancer out of town, even though the necromancer is just trying to commune with spirits instead of raising a zombie army. Lots of material there.

I didn't used to think a story having a message was important, but there are people who disapprove of stories just being escapism.

I'm okay, yeah! I've just been caught up in life. It's been insanely busy. But I miss you guys and am going to try harder to carve out some time. Probably not immediately, as I'm going out of the country next week, but once I get back I'll do my best.

How are you guys?

We're pretty good. Pretty tired though---- We've given it our absolute all to try and get a job and there still hasn't been much success yet. There's still a chance--- I've put everything I had into preparing for the last few interviews. Hopefully the news we hear will be good.

Good luck on your trip!

Sorry for the delay, everyone, as always--- We will post at some point today. Although we do feel pretty justified with this one. We had to network for an unfathomable amount of time (Eleven hours on the first day!) from the 26th to the 27th. Good god. o__O;
