Efaen is a typical Andalite. Not someone I'd like, but still not as unlikeable as Terenia. Like Temrash said, Efaen could still function well in her society. Bigotry is not something that causes you to harm yourself and others, as long as you're around people you like being around.
I thought about if there was a situation where Efaen thought she needed to pay Temrash back for what he did. He'd wind up just asking her to do something like getting him a drink. I don't know if she'd be satisfied with that, though.
Edit: Actually I shouldn't have has derrel say Andalite. He doesn't know the name of the species. I edited it to have him just say aliens.
