The effect of energy feeding would just leave her exhausted. He could drink her blood, in which case she would die. I don't know if Vampirization should come into play. Might make things complicated.

Since he can manipulate energy, feeding off of energy does give him more stamina, and more to work with when he uses energy to create anything, like force fields or energy swords.

I'm also thinking his medallion can trap souls, but I haven't decided if he can rip a soul out of a person's body, or if he has to kill someone, wait for the soul to come out, then trap it.

I think it would have more of an effect on Efaen than Terenia.

So, from what I'm reading, Frederick and Terenia are in the woods just outside the bar...?

If, say, Terenia was being attacked by a Vampire with a whip, how likely is it that people in or around the bar will hear the whip crack? (Mainly, how far from the bar are you? 20 feet? 20 meters? 200 meters?)

Along the same vein, would it be appropriate for Jessi and me to have Elayne and Trey to hear all the thought speak shouting, or would it not be possible from where they are on the other side of Temrash's ship?

You guys said you wanted newcomers to have as little characters as possible so they can manage them easier... so, I thought, HEY! A Helmacron! The ego may be a little overinflated, but they're literally small and manageable.

lol

We're about twenty or thirty feet from the entrance of the bar. Well within view of the door.

It would be likely that people inside the bar would at least hear Terenia shouting, although they may find it hard to distinguish from the other bar noises. Not sure about Elayne and Trey, though. I think they might be too far away.

I don't think the hissing would be very loud, but the cracking could be. Especially since it's an unfamiliar sound, and unfamiliar sounds can be more noticable than ones you hear all the time.

I don't know. Fredrick's not going to be able to drag her off with Ossanlina and Temrash coming for him, anyway. He may be able to elave a memento, though. Inject her with the drug-like energy. That is, if he gets his fangs into her.

After that I imagine he will just lurk in the woods.

Cool, Scinlao :)

And we said as FEW characters as possible, namely, one if possible. ;) Helmacrons...ha, ha.

I also doubt that Myitt or Corliss can hear what's going on, just throwing that out there.

Out of curiosity, how many characters does a controller count as? :P

Oi, and I must share the following conversation...

Me: How do you feel about eating meat from supposedly extinct animals?
My Friend: Hmm... was the meat frozen?
Me: Er... in a manner of speaking!

:P

lol, "little" was a play on words. I'm just experimenting around a little. I knew that despite their very...exasperating attitude...Helmacro ns were still some of the most enjoyed plot twists in Animorphs. Yes, I called the Helmacrons specifically, plot twists. That was not a grammar error.  :P

And, if the whip is CRACKING, that means it is moving faster than sound, no? So...thirty feet, most definitely yes, you could hear it.

Steph, I command you not to eat frozen mammoth meat!  It just ain't right!  Plus it probably smells really bad!  Ugh!

I think a Controller technically counts as two characters, but just being a Yeerk in a jar wouldn't really allow the Yeerk to interact or communicate (unless it was one of those purple boxes...) so in that respect I think Controllers get a free pass for two characters at once, even for newbies.

I was more thinking of velociraptors. :P Pssh. I'd never eat a mammoth! Way too high in fat.

You can't just be one lonely Yeerk, so yes they get a pass. Though you do have to flesh out both characters, especially in the presence of people who like to treat hosts as people too.
