A little opinion on style/color
« on: September 21, 2010, 09:58:34 AM »
Um, sorry if I'm adding a second topic even though it's related to this topic: http://animorphsforum.com/forum/index.php?topic=6414.0

If you think I should just put this together with my first topic, let me know. I kinda thought no one might notice it cuz the forum seems to merge my posts together and doesn't state it as a new post in the topic....heh-hehe... =_=; Sorry again.

Just adding a part of my progress about my book cover. But I've come to two styles and two different coloring.

Actually, to you, it'd probably isn't two styles. I originally was drawing a manga style then I wanted to try an American style like those Marvel comics (example: http://cheeks-74.deviantart.com/art/Mechanation-cover-no-2-colors-150961719?q=gallery%3Acheeks-74%2F6934789&qo=53) but meh. Failed big time. Still looks manga like.

The coloring is either to use cell-based or soft coloring for the book cover. If soft coloring, I can go further in depth.

So just wondering, which one do you prefer in style or/and color? Or try the American style one more time? I actually don't mind doing anything for this book cover, just can't seem to decide which method. VxV; I am an indecisive artist...need people's opinions to improve. Sorry all.

Anyway, hope you like this extra part. AND you do see what the girl's profile looks like (The colors aren't final and her hair IS NOT BLUE, just as an area to keep colors within the lines)

Enjoy.
