Heh that's one way of looking at it. If I want the job I want (special effects, aka make s**t move) then I gotta move to America, that's where all the big studios are. And either give puppydog eyes or have an affair with someone high up, you know, the usual tactics. I was thinking about it then I saw an episode of Ricki Lake and thought 'fiddlesticks to that'. That's not a slander against Americans, it's a slander against one American, I thought 'I don't want to share a landmass with you!' She was an angry woman who was slapping her son around saying "If I say you ain't gay then you ain't gay, you hear me?"

..um, change of topic

I do actually want to move there because of the fact that the books are cheaper and also we're stuck in the middle of a honking great DEPRESSION. And they just have cooler stuff over there, even if they do drive on the wrong side of the road

Thank you. Ah no. I tried in vain a few times, but it didn't work. I realised when I wanted to draw a picture for my sister's birthday and the pencil kept going to the left of where I wanted it to go. However, I can still manipulate MSPaint. That takes more brainpower than dexterity. Watch out world..

That's awful, about your hand.  You had such talent!  :'(

But at least I'm glad to hear that you can still work in MS paint!  I saw a few of your MS paint creations on DeviantArt, and they're every bit as amazing as your hand-drawn works.

Do you go pixel-by-pixel, the way I do my sprites, or do you have your own method of doing that?  If you do that anything like the way I do my sprites, those must have taken soooo long!  They're amazing!

And if you have your own method, I want to learn it, please!  You should post a tutorial or something.

And the Artpad pictures are amazing, too!  Can you still use Artpad with your broken hand?

I can draw with a pencil but always had problems to draw on computer... I'm absolutely bad for that! >_< What is your secret?

Haha, thanks, I could make a tutorial I guess. My method is, um..I'm not very good at explaining it so I'll post some progress pictures and close ups. It is mental. I spend months on these things. I could probably manage artpad, it's not a bad program for something that's free.

To shade them I do hundreds of tiny layers, each layer carying in colour juuuust slightly. When I did Scar, I did a glow around him. It needed about 17 layers, each one took me 45 minutes to do. Another time my forearm swelled up cos I spent so long on a picture. Oy

Actually, I have made videos showing how they were made, I was thinking of uploading them to youtube. Hang on a sec I'll do that, is much easier

. . . That's the sort of thing that impatient sprite-artists like me can only aspire to.  I mean, geez, if I tried to do something like that, it would take me years, not months.  You are amazing!

How the heck is it that, on DeviantArt, you've been complimenting my work?
