The view from here is frightening,
But it isn't the lightning like strikes of gun fire
Or the thunderous waves of bombs that part the shore
It's that we've replaced the word genocide with a phrase "The Art of War."
We slaughter in laughter
And I wonder what we sought after
As we fall like the crumbling earth
The tumbling hearse of millions running from birth.
To the jagged fate at the base of this precipice
Assuring me there's nothing less than this
And there shall be nothing left to miss.
I suppose it's easier to kill the faceless
Much like feeding fuel to the tasteless
We've become breathing tools of seething fools
A breeding pool for unrelented hate.
And for it we shall pay our un-repented fate.
