general and animorphs

why aren't animorphs RP's and fanfiction together like the general RP's and fanfiction are? i think they both should be the same.

Never thought about that... But I see no reason why we should sub-board them like the General category. The reason why they are sub-boarded in the General area is to not give the impression that there are too many boards...

Anyone thinks differently? I know Russell dislikes so many boards in the General category.

I think it makes the section look too big.  Like general is more important then anything else.

Maybe you could combine Animorphs fanfic and RPs, and also combine General v2 and Life Board, if you're worried about the General section being too big.

I don't know about everyone else, but I'm always confused about the difference between General and Life.  The content seems to be pretty similar in both boards.

it's a very grey area.

i think role playing should be it's own section (in general). we could then make child boards (animorphs role playing, mafia etc.) inside it.

I agree about Life and General being the same board.  But I have to disagree about condensing Animorphs RP and Fanfic.  Actually, I don't really understand why General RP and Fanfic are grouped together, either.  I think I've said this before, but I personally think that RP and Fanfic are different enough concepts that they don't need to be grouped together.

If the General section is too big, Esplin, why not make the Media board a child board of the Life/General board?  Maybe the Bored board could be a child board, too?  I dunno why, but grouping Fanfic and roleplays together just . . . doesn't seem right to me, for some reason.  But that's maybe just me being OCD again.

P.S. Just a note, but it makes complete sense to me that the General section should be the biggest section.  I mean, it's sort of the 'everything' section.

Life board is supposed to hold topics like Religion, "My Life Sucks", Politics, "OMG TODAY WAS GREAT", Sexual Orientation, "I Met a Celebrity Today"... you know, life related issues.

General V2 should contain threads like news, "RAFextended Family", "Why I love RAF", and other thread topics that don't fit in the Life board. That are not personal in the way that the Life board should be.

i like media inside of general, as ellimist suggested.

role playing should possibly have it's own section (with appropriate child boards)
