What kind of argument would persuade you to become a Voluntary Controller.

If my life was crappy enough, and they made some nice offers, and treated me ok, I figure it's better than spending my only free time in a cage when I'm not being used as a puppet.

Me: Can you take care of all of my student loan and credit card debt?
Sharing Recruiter: You betcha.

"Hey, kid, you like Animorphs, right?  How would you like to actually live it?  Join the battle for Earth!"

It's all in the phrasing.

After all, you can't make too many cowboys out of cattle or you'll eventually run out of cattle. ;)

This sounds like a good fanfic idea.

Yeah, credit card debt and student loan debt aren't going to matter anymore once Yeerks rule the Earth.

I wonder what other imaginative methods the Yeerks would use to recruit voluntary hosts.

Want to lose weight? Just put this Yeerk in your ear, it will help you lose weight by controlling what you eat.

Have bad social anxiety? Let the Yeerk go to the job interview or party for you.

Oh, you're done, you don't need the Yeerk anymore? Sorry, no take backs.

Easy. It wouldn't be that difficult, but it would be perplexingly specific:

(1). "I get to meet your insane boss. And I mean I want to meet him as in I want him to enter my head. No questions asked; Give me at least 20 minutes. He'll work out instantly why I'm asking for this as soon as he makes contact with my memories, and he will mock the ever-loving crap out of me. But it will be utterly worth it to me. And he'd also realize that I'd have the potential to be more loyal to the Empire than any Yeerk he dropped in me."

(2). "Whoever enters me leaves me and my daydreaming business the **** alone, and in exchange if the Yeerk ignores the background stuff the Yeerk practically will not know I even exist."

(3). "The Yeerk is a competent actor and only starts doing things I wouldn't do if we end up too involved in the business of the invasion. Because if the Yeerk screws this one up, the smarter love interests I have will catch on that this isn't me eventually. And trust me, you don't want to explain that to a sociopathic knife expert and a Green Beret in my wimpy little girl body."

(4). "If I have a certain defect, I want it cured. I'd eventually become pretty useless if I had it anyway."

That's pretty much the gist. :P

I get to drive the Yeerk slowly insane by singing the calypso songs from Beetlejuice in our shared head 24/7.

Guerilla tactics, mwahaha.

Person Of Interest re-watch.  Still stunning as ever.

Hey if somebody can do it with Agincourt and a Shakespeare play and do it so effectively that a Visser goes back in time to prevent Shakespeare from writing it, go all in. XD
