Graphic Novel?

(1/2) > >>

YeerkSalad:
KA's tweets, which are linked in the news section (right of your username), suggest that there's a graphic novel on the way.  Thoughts?

Adam:
Depends on what exactly "graphic" will entail! It was already pretty graphic in places in the books. Maybe the authors will be less inclined to avoid Human fatalities? That was deliberately avoided (mostly) in the books.

Myitt:
Graphic novel, as in, comic book-style.

RYTX:
as with talk of a movie, wary, though less so.

I remain concerned as always about a media that's primarily visual being able to do credit to the introspections that make up so much of the books, but my primary fear is that is that they'll change things. Either modernize it, or change character personas. Honestly I fear this being a market too, of a return of animorphs into mainstream media. I admit I kinda like that its a the fandom is pretty small, even if you count the people who say "I loved those as a kid".  A revival creates a lot of potential for trouble to me, invites arguments of scripture with the unbaptized.

Still there's some scene's, artifacts and characters I'd love to see in an artist's hands, and if done right it'd be so awesome.

So cautiously pessimistic with a hint of inherent Andalite optimism thrown in I guess.
If you ignore the blinding rage at the fact that they didn't call me up to be head consultant, but hey whatever  ::)

NothingFromSomething:
Ehh, I dunno.  Not really sure what this could add to things if they're re-telling the core story, art's never going to be as good as what you're conjuring up in your head.

If it's some spin-off story or whatever it could be cool though.
