I wasn't much older than the characters when I started reading the books, but I didn't have a crush on them. Rachel was pretty awesome, but I didn't know much about that kind of stuff at that age. I was pretty repressed.

If I were younger and reading it for the first time now though, I think I'd be all about Rachel.

I used to have trouble understanding sarcasm. I still don't always get it, but my common use of sarcasm in daily life has helped a little. My sarcasm voice is my normal voice, so I tend to confuse people.

I have had trouble with sarcasm sometimes too. Sometimes my dad would sarcastically say to do something, and if it wasn't blatantly obvious that I shouldn't do it, I'd do it and he'd get angry with me. Not that he ever needed much of a reason to be pissed off.

I had a huge crush on the Helmacrons. :p

I think I was too young at the time to really have crushes on anyone. It wasn't even until my high school years that I began thinking in terms of "attractive" with regards to characters and actors on television.
