Current Character(s) in play:  Ossanlin  (Andalite)  ;  Firin ~ Rythil  (Rebel)  ;  Varekil  (Andalite)

Character Sheet(s)

***Ossanlin***

Name(s):  Ossanlin-Rethin-Sephirel

Race:  Andalite

Gender:  Male

Station:  Prince Prime  (Captain)

Physical Features/Appearance:  Ossanlin is tall and well-built, even for a male Andalite.  He has a well-defined upper torso honed from specific weight-training, and his lower section is the size of a quarter-horse rather than that of a deer.  His tail is also a tad longer than that of a typical male Andalite, and his blade somewhat larger.  He has a full coat of deep royal-blue fur flecked with almost imperceptible streaks of silver.  His eyes are a bright, vibrant sky-blue, and when viewed in darkness, one can see that his main eyes emit a very soft internal glow.  His hooves are muted black, but with a certain sheen.  His tail blade is just a hair off-white in color, but when moved through light-glare it takes on a strangely iridescent quality, almost seeming to shift colors with its movement (though this only happens in sunlight or very bright environmental lighting).

Ossanlin carries himself with the strength and assurance of a being used to commanding soldiers and one who knows his own worth.  He emanates an air of strength and stability that helps to bolster his soldiers’ spirits even in tough times.

Personality:  Ossanlin is kind, caring, and open-minded.  He keeps a tight ship when on-duty, but tends to loosen considerably when off.  Ossanlin is companionable when he’s not busy running the ship, and will happily share a drink or an afternoon feeding with the meanest of his men.  Ossanlin is also heavily committed to his own ideals of rightness.  So heavily, many believe, that it borders on fault.  Ossanlin will always do what he considers to be right in every situation.  He attempts to act for the good of his soldiers and the People as a whole, even if it means hurting a few along the way, himself included.

Ossanlin has never believed in the Electorate’s propaganda due to his upbringing and has striven to eliminate the biased attitude from his soldiers as well.  Ossanlin thinks for himself and judges individuals for themselves, and only upon personal observation.  He is steadfast and loyal to his friends and allies, and a scourge to his enemies.  Though he abhors ruthlessness, Ossanlin is more than capable of it where necessary.  Ossanlin has done and will do again, things that many would consider to be cruel or even monstrous (figuratively).  And though he does mourn his actions, he does so in private, never allowing his soldiers to see even a milligram of what many would consider weakness.  So too does he privately mourn the loss of every soldier under his command.  He works through his emotions in his own way and attempts to gain strength from every experience.

Equipment/possessions:  1x Basic Andalite Field Kit with one modification.
Instead of one standard handheld Shredder, Ossanlin carries two modified, personalized Shredders that have slightly enhanced energy stores and an improved lens assembly made of seerlix crystal that enhances energy focus and efficiency.  The crystals also cause the weapons to emit a high-pitched hum when fired instead of the characteristic “Tssaap” of typical handheld Shredders.

2x Enhanced Analog Fighting Blades.
These swords, made primarily of a neutronium weave alloy, resemble Earthling katana in form and function.  Each sword is 1.3 meters in length with the bottom .3 m clothed in an ergonomic, high-grip tsuka-type handle with stylized handguards shaped like crescent moons.  The functional portion of each blade is precisely one meter long, and gracefully curved backwards on a slight bias.  The blades are single-edged.  Due to their neutronium weave, the twin katana-like swords are capable of absorbing and diffusing focused energy fire (including that from both Dracon and Shredder alike).  The neutronium weave also makes the swords virtually unbreakable.  When not in use, the two swords are held in plain, slightly-curved satin-black sheaths that are attached to either side of the belt at Ossanlin’s waist and held back along his lower body to minimize hindrance to personal maneuvering capability.

1x Command-com wrist-panel mounted on his left fore-arm.
This wrist-panel is an accessory component of the ARC system available only to field-commanders and officers.  It allows the commander to interface with every ARC inside his/her domain, causing them to display communiques and pieces of useful or required information for his/her Warriors via each soldier’s ARC emitter matrix.

Various personal items within his capacious quarters, including but not limited to:
1x Holo-loop of his mother and father and his home bowl
1x Luxury sleeping cube
1x Personal mobile computer
1x Luxury toiletries unit connected to his main quarters
1x Verdian-wood work-table/desk
Several holo-art projections of wide-open expanses from the Homeworld hanging on the otherwise sterile walls
His old flight-patch emblazoned with a silver Tail Fighter and the callsign “Slaedreth" printed in silver around the bottom.  It is displayed in a small, trans-polymer stasis box on the rich-colored verdian work-table
Various sundry items

***Firin ~ Rythil***

Name(s):  Firin-985 / Rythil Kynee

Race:  Controller—Hork-Bajir

Gender:  Male (Self-identified) / Male

Station:  Engineer Elite  (First Engineer)

Physical Features/Appearance:  Firin looks as unremarkable as any other Yeerk.  Rythil is of average height and size amongst Hork-Bajir, but he is more fit and toned than the typical Hork-Bajir.  His skin is an unremarkable green, but his reptilian eyes have bright, royal-purple irises.  Rythil’s blades are on the slightly-larger side of average, though certainly not anything to cause remark.  He does keep them razor-sharp despite the lack of a need to peel bark.

Personality:   Firin is a technical-minded individual.  Despite his host’s combat capabilities, Firin is actually skilled at working with Rythil to fabricate and fix things.  Firin isn’t terribly open-minded, but discussions with his current host have taught him the value of not underestimating anyone.  His logic-based personality sometimes comes off as aloof, critical, or even condescending, though he usually doesn’t mean things that way.  He’s not hot-headed or combative usually, but he does make use of passive-aggression when it suits him.  Firin prefers to work with his machines or theories instead of socializing, but he can BS passably if forced to, or if filled with enough redin.

Rythil is more emotional than his controller, demonstrating a deep compassion for all life…but he defaults to logic when necessary.  Rythil has a high-functioning intelligence, a bit of a “throw-back” from the genetically-engineered mental-slowness in the majority of his race, and he’s more than capable of philosophy and logic.  It was Rythil who, through logical discourse, convinced Firin that the Empire itself was illogical, and the only acceptable option was rebellion against the Council.  In social situations, Rythil generally takes full command, leaving Firin to his own introverted thoughts.  He’s fairly empathic and genuinely cares about other people and their problems.  Rythil is a loyal friend, and tries to be friendly with everyone.  He almost never gets angry.  The same cannot be said for Firin.

Equipment/possessions:

1x Over-engineered Dracon that has a variety of settings that allow Firin to adjust the beam width, angle, intensity, pulsation, and other functions.  Not because he has need of it and not because it’s slightly more useful than a regular Dracon…just because he can.

1x Enhanced cube computer.  It’s capable of greater processing power and speed with a smoother, easier interface.

1x “Omni-tool.”  A device contrived, designed, built, and coined by Firin himself, it takes the place of multiple self-contained tools including but not limited to:
-Quantum Spanner
-All-wrench
-Plasma-torch
-Electric Inducer
-Can-opener

1x Self-contained med-kit.  (It’s presence is stipulated by his host, who argues that he’s the one who gets hurt when Firin’s “perfectly safe” efforts turn out not to be so.)

1x Standard transponder/communicator.

1x Five octave Sony electronic keyboard.

During the evacuation, he lost his drafting table, easel, and all the rest of his furniture, but managed to save most of Rythil’s paintings.  Most depict scenes from the Hork-Bajir Homeworld and are rather beautifully done.  They’re packed away right now with the rest of the things he’d managed to save from the base and abscond with when those dirty blue-furs attacked.  He also managed to preserve his musical keyboard.

***Varekil***

Name(s):  Varekil-Rinnian-Soref

Race:  Andalite

Gender:  Male

Position:  Physician Elite (First Medical Officer)

Physical Features/Appearance:  Varekil stands at slightly shorter than average height for Andalites.  He is as slight-of-frame as the majority of his species, and walks lightly.  His fur is deep, rich blue peppered with individual purple hairs if one looks closely.  His main eyes are genetically heterochromic, one vibrant green and one sapphire blue, both stalk-eyes are blue.  His tail-blade is slightly narrower and longer than average, giving it a slimmer appearance than most tail-blades.  He is barely 20 years of age UGTS.

Personality:  Varekil isn't terribly out-going and tends to default to introversion.  He often seems surly and agitated thanks to his new position, however he is a kind and caring individual once you get past his outer layers.  Varekil's passion has always been healing, making others well, saving lives.  He is well-learned in medicine despite the fact that he has only been trained as a field-medic, but tends to disparage his own somewhat-formidable knowledge on the subject and always seeks to learn more.  While it is more important to him to develop new and better medical techniques for Andalites, he has made friends with one of the human medical practitioners and seeks to supplement his medical knowledge to also support the Yeerk, Human, Hork-Bajir....and even Taxxon crew complement.  And even though he's generally quiet, he will readily and happily share his medical knowledge with those whom are interested.

Of course, the reality of battle cannot be prepared for and Varekil often finds himself wishing he'd taken a different career path.  But his desire to heal and to learn make him persevere despite all of the adversity and hardship he's had to endure.

Varekil disparages morphing to heal and is quick to point out that "morphing isn't always an option," and "there are some things morphing won't fix."

Equipment/possessions:

1x Standard handheld Shredder worn at his belt

1x Bio-Line Scanner (an advanced biological sensor which interfaces remotely with his ARC).

2x ARC holo-projection units (which can display different information in front of each main eye).

1x Advanced med-kit (includes all items within the basic med-kit with advanced and specialized additions).

1x Holo-loop of his mother

A large collection of medical data-files

One analog book version of Facts Medica displayed on the large desk in his quarters.

The quarters amenities which have been awarded with his new position.

Current Character(s) in play:  Claxter  (Andalite)  ;  Ferxal  (Andalite)

Character Sheet(s)

***Claxter***

Name(s): Claxter-Karmesh-Sinopul

Race: Andalite

Gender: Male

Station:  Helm Elite  (First Pilot)

Physical Features/Appearance: A young Andalite, not much older than most Arisths. The arms of his centaur-like body are weak, but his tail and blade are strong, as is typical for his species. Light blue fur covers his body, with small spots of tan here and there. Normally he strides somewhat confidently, as an officer should, though there's a cautiousness to it as well. His facial expression is normally soft and unintimidating.  He wears a badge signifying his rank of Prince Lieutenant on his belt.

Personality: He's a nice guy that is somewhat open towards rebels. He never developed any real hatred towards Yeerks as a species, though he does think his is the best race in the galaxy.  He is kind, generous, and hard working. He is very loyal to Prince Ossanlin, and tries to get along with practically everyone, with very few exceptions. He is not the bravest Andalite in the galaxy, but you probably wouldn't find that out except when he's under a lot of stress.

He tries to be kind and helpful whenever he can, and help those in need. Though he is capable of anger and violence if he is pressured.

Equipment/possessions: He has a fighter in his possession, though he only got it because he stole it while fleeing his first battle. It could justly be taken away by officials.  Basic field kit, ARC, shredder, and rank insignia.

***Ferxal***

Name(s): Ferxal-Escoth-Dhoraim

Race: Andalite

Gender: Male

Station:  Security Elite  (Head of Communications and Security)

Physical Features/Appearance: Young Andalite with dark blue fur, and a more muscular tail than most, evident of heavy training. His arms are also slightly more toned than normal, due to recent training.

Personality: Very stoic. Tactless. He rarely shows emotion, due to personal effort to control them. He doesn't have strong feelings for any individuals, positive or negative, and his loyalty is towards the virtues of Honor and Duty. He enjoys fighting, and being outside.

Equipment/possessions: Basic field kit. ARC. Shredder. Warrior rank insignia.

Current Character(s) in play:  Keshin ~ Joanne  (Human-Controller)

Character Sheet(s)

***Keshin ~ Joanne***

Name(s):  Keshin Five-Two-Three and Joanne O' Donahue

Race:  Controller--Human

Gender:  Joanne is female. Keshin uses masculine pronouns when not speaking as Joanne due to a number of experiences in male bodies. It is also to pacify his host, who prefers the idea that he is male.

Station:  Prince Elite  (First Officer)

Physical Features/Appearance: Joanne's appearance in the past Andalite year has changed dramatically, due to her human nothlitization by War-Prince Ossanlin. Attempts were made to mimic Joanne's original appearance to the closest standard possible, but they were not fully successful. She stands at approximately 5"5 inches tall, having shrunk somewhat due to the average height of the available genetic donors. Her hair is reddish brown color, lighter and frizzier than the original dark brown, and her eyes are a sharp hazel color. She has developed minor lines of freckles.

It was generally agreed upon by all that there was no way that Joanne's original outfit suited her new position. There was also the fact that because of how heavily customized it was, it no longer fit Joanne's new body. The top half of the current outfit is a modified Imperial dress uniform, red-lined but with gold and blue insignia and armbands that match those of the Andalite military aboard the Tyrennian. The lower half appears to be black cargo pants and combat boots, likely borrowed from various less-than-thrilled human crew members.

Personality: Joanne O' Donahue herself is impulsive, light-hearted, and a bit rough around the edges. She speaks with a peculiar lower-class New York accent she's seemingly taken from several different burroughs and gangs. She has tried to kick the accent for formality's sake, but attempts have thus far been entirely useless. Joanne's personality has grown if anything more optimistic since taking a command position, although she has perhaps mellowed a bit due to the demands of the position. She still has a problem with taking action without authorization and acting without thinking, which is likely to periodically cause problems for those below her. She has developed an almost fathomless loyalty toward War-Prince Ossanlin as a result of past experiences between them and his decision to eliminate her illness. Only Keshin takes a higher place than the War-Prince, and her resulting behavior toward the Andalite is peculiarly respectful. By extension, Joanne has chosen to serve the interests of the Tyrennian and its crew for as long as that is possible...but she holds no particularly great love for them. They are a means to a greater end. There is still something of the indifferent cruelty of the bounty hunter in the newly commissioned Officer.

Keshin is perhaps his host's opposite, his personality being very similar to the typical Yeerk. Exceedingly level-headed and rational, he performs most of the required leadership and technical duties of the position. He attempts to drag Joanne out of trouble, but with mixed results. He has little empathy for anyone other than his own host, and this remains true although he feels that they owe the War-Prince their lives. Given that Keshin is a payer of the rare debts that he incurs, he intends to assist Joanne with what he believes is a "farce." Despite his feelings on the matter he has demonstrated a peculiar charisma among his subordinates which was hidden by his circumstances. He speaks with conviction if not precise clarity, much like a pontificating Electorate politician when he is least aware of the needs of the situation. His bigotry toward the Andalite race is fading, although traces remain. He has difficulty expressing his emotions on any subject, and is frustrated by the necessity of becoming a team player in the current situation.

Equipment/possessions:

- (1) Standard Andalite field kit, with (1) modification. The single standard-issue Shredders have been replaced by Joanne's beloved Dracon weapons. They have been repaired and refueled numerous times, and Joanne refuses any and all other weapons.

- (1) ARC communicator, on Keshin's left wrist, allowing a link with the rest of the Tyrennian's crew to ensure that Keshin can communicate with anyone regardless of his current circumstances.

-A picture of Joanne's old body, full-length, for entirely sentimental reasons

-A peculiar necklace, hidden by Joanne's coat but around her neck, depicting what looks like an eight-pointed Star of David with a skull insignia at the center. A similar image can be seen on Joanne's bare back, except with the words "Blood Lust" in English surrounding it. These images also exist for decidedly sentimental reasons, as they are mementos of Joanne's past. However, Joanne is aware that they might disturb the viewer.

Current Character(s) in play:  Aetheas  (Andalite)  ;  Varit - Resseliss  (Taxxon-Controller)

Character Sheet(s)

***Aetheas***

Name(s): Aetheas-Emelen-Sirinial

Race: Andalite

Gender: Male

Station:  Combat Elite  (Tactical Officer)

Physical Features/Appearance: Aetheas is a shorter-than-average Andalite with greyish-blue fur and a perpetual bright, calculating look in his eyes, though his face tends to remain otherwise expressionless. His distinctive tail-blade is twisted and quite small thanks to a birth defect, which also leaves a 'kink' about halfway down his tail, where it is crooked to the left. The fused vertebrae in that area limit his tail's range of motion somewhat, and if asked, he'll say that it's because of this that he doesn't carry his tail quite as high as many other officers. At his waist, he wears his ARC constantly, and is almost always seen with text or pictures or simulations running before his main eyes. Between this and his often-distracted, stoic expression, he does not give off a very approachable air to those who don't know him.

Personality: Aetheas is convinced that he's more capable than most of his commanding officers, and he has a tendency to pick things up very quickly. His default attitude towards other Andalites is one of disdain, though he's become more comfortable and more friendly with many of the crewmembers aboard the Tyrennian as time's gone by. He's always striving to be the best at everything he does-- he doesn't care if nobody acknowledges his successes as long as he knows he's become the foremost local expert in everything; his propensity for learning quickly often makes this a realistic goal. He'll go out of his way to speak with and observe other Andalites, Rebels, whoever he can, if it means there's a new trick or technique he can learn this way, but aside from this, he keeps to himself, almost never engaging in discussions of a personal nature. He has difficulty taking social cues, and often comes across as being distracted by other things. His apparent obsession with analyzing and reanalyzing everything relating to every battle or discovery the Tyrennian has had seems unhealthy to some; however, his knowledge has helped them out of tough situations, and with only a skeleton crew aboard the Tyrennian, he can't very well be ordered to rest and stop working.

Equipment/possessions: Aetheas's quarters contain only a single geode and a collection of sentimental books. Besides that, he owns only a standard Andalite field kit; his ARC has been modified on several occasions at this point to better accommodate his needs as TO. Though he's been promoted, Aetheas has refused to move to larger quarters, instead remaining in the tiny room he had as an aristh.

***Varit ~ Resseliss***

Names: Varit 070 and Resseliss

Race: Taxxon Controller

Gender: Varit identifies as male

Station:  Surveyor Elite  (Sensors Officer)

Physical Features/Appearance: Resseliss is on the smaller, skinnier side for a Taxxon, but is still huge and gross and intimidating. He shows significant scarring on his right side, down nearly a third of his body in a jagged pattern, and his flesh is crossed by a distinctive fractal-esque pattern in red and yellow.

Personality: Varit tends to be cautious, soft-spoken, and a stickler for the rules. In fact, his main passion seems to be keeping people on-task and in line. He often comes across as very self-assured, and many will find his rigidity grating. The air of confidence he puts up acts only as a front, however, and those who get to know him well will realize that he questions himself constantly. His lack of self-confidence is only magnified these days, thanks to the constant derision from Rebel and Andalite alike, mostly because of his Taxxon host. His insistence upon following protocol stems from a lack of ability to think or act on his feet in most situations, coupled with a genuine affection for all those in the Rebellion, and a desire to keep them safe and help out however he can. These days, it seems, a portion of that affection also extends to the Andalite crew, though he still hasn't really warmed towards Keshin after learning some of the details of his history with Myitt.

Resseliss is remarkably reserved and well-behaved for a Taxxon. He's brimming over with childlike naivety. He is constantly consumed by the Taxxon hunger, but his dream is to be able to move beyond that and become a scholar or, lately, a great Captain. He pushes himself constantly to rise above his species, always attempting (with very limited success) to avoid eating when meat is presented, and spending as much time as possible studying physics and electronics. He has thrown himself wholeheartedly into learning the sensors position aboard the Tyrennian, and feels a great sense of gratitude towards Ossanlin and Keslin for helping him take steps towards making his dream come true.

Equipment/possessions: Varit has managed, since his arrival at the Tyrennian, to gather a small collection of cooking supplies and foods to himself in his quarters. There is also a makeshift waterfall fountain resembling a nice one he used to have, and a number of live plants and paintings. He keeps a few nice sets of clothing-- most of them would obviously fit Jenny, his former part-time human host who has not been seen or heard from since the attack on the Rebel base. He carries an Andalite field kit around his bulging waist, and has holos of several members of the Rebellion and his family before that in his quarters.
