OK, so i wanted to do this a few weeks ago but i posted looking for people interested in other treads, and got my butt kicked (a lot, except for Tobias, hes such a gentle person, tanks Tobias) , but I'm trying once more, so anyone interested in joining a Gal animorphs? and please dont tell me that this cant be cause i saw a harry potter/ animorphs rp and even gorillaman and Tobias signed up. Whatever back to the point, so this is supposed to take place more or less about the same time Jake,Cassie,Tobias,Marco and Rachel find Elfangor and etc. I was thinking that the setting/background could be: basically the guardians of theuniverse understand what yeerks are (being wise and old as hell) and that its not their fault to be a parasite, so they try to get to an agreement with them to make them only take voluntary hosts, yeerks dont quite agree and launch an invasion to oa where they get their butts kicked. So now open war gl corps/yeerks is up.
This could take place in different planets or in earth, either helping the animorphs or stopping yeerk invasions in different battles and sectors of the universe. And for the rest u know the drill, make a character sheet (gl, animorph, common human, andalite, hork bajir or whatever but preferently gl), with name,age, physical description and background, and if u can give ideas about the setting please do!! Ill start from 5 persons up...

Green Lantern, chosen by his power ring after blackest night event, fan of animorphs books who didn't knew that they were telling the truth until a few weeks ago when the power ring interphase showed him the plans of the yeerks..
Powers: Green lantern ring based powers (flight, energy projection,constructs bla, bla, bla)
Abilities: Indomitable will, street fighting and parkour.
Family: Parents (contollers) 11 year old brother, Benjamin ( not a controller and his reason to fight).
Likes: Rock climbing, sports, reading, videogames, Rachel
Dislikes: Soccer, Chinese food, alcohol, cigarettes.
Fairly friendly, ruthless and tends to be outgoing, weakness to red lantern power rings, values his family and friends very much.

What's the premise? Who can you control, who can't you control? What are the rules? What planet is this based on? etc, etc, etc.

I presume based on the green lantern core, which pretty much floats in space next to a gaint sun that helps fuel the rings. Either that or on that green lantern whos also a planet

Ok i thought i had given enough info in my first post but whatever. So this a crossover which means that the Animorphs universe, planets, everything are enclosed in the 3600 sectors of the universe guarded by the GL corp, so the guardians of the universe try to convince the yeerks to take only voluntary hosts but the yeerks dont agree, attack oa and get hammered, so now war s out between the corp and the yeerks.
Setting i was thinking that gl´s turned the tide of impossible battles against yeerks in far corners of the universe (chee, andalite,yeerk or leeran homeworld) and only crossed paths with the animorphs from time to time, im open to any suggestion
Time: Would begin with the yeerk attack on Oa and the Guardians declaring war on the yeerks. Same time of the animorphs timeline, the corp would help on any major battle for a planet and cross paths with the A. from time to time, the RP would end with the defeat of the one by Ani./GLC.
Rules: Make a character sheet bla,bla,bla, but species, any species in the animorphs (or gl) universe and preferably a gl, if not you can still be, i dont know, a hork bajir, an andalite, whatever, only solid rule is that you cant be ellimist/crayak/guardian of the universe because of their inherent god like abilities and must be an ally, not an enemy.
And of course he presence of gl´s on earth would be explained by the fact earth, and pretty much every part of the known universe is patrolled by the gl corp. For example the character created by newBA was an andalite pilot chosen by his ability to overcome great fear and is now a GL, my character was your everyday kid until a few weeks ago.
I hope that clears things up and that you decide to join us soon, if not post your doubts, ill do my best...

Right, but I'm not doubting how his character got the GL powers, but how his character got there at all. They don't get ships without being in the Andalite military, and the Andalite military didn't get there until waaay late in the series. (Other than the few that survived the Dome ship battle.) It wouldn't make sense that his character was an Andalite without giving him a convincing reason to be there (other than "just 'cause", of course).
I get the idea of a cross-over; but in this particular RP, what is the situation? Are we on Earth? Are we on a GL planet? Are we going to be constantly moving between planets? Is there a particular moment in the series we're entering? Can we be an OG Animorph? Do we have to create a new character entirely? Are you going to control all the NPCs? I only ask 'cause these are the details we need before we can say, "Hmmm, this sounds do-able."

OK, probably you should ask the story about his character to BA but from what i got his character was an andalite war pilot who got shot down in the hork bajir homeworld battle, and the a power ring chose him, and as i said we are going to move from planet to planet helping in major battles and Oa would be our head quarter (well have to visit the ocasionally to brief about our next mission from the guardians of the universe, basically the gl´s god-like bosses) and encounter the animorphs ocasionally, the rp will begin at the middle arc of the series and end with a battle against the one in what would be the ending of book #55, yeah you have to create a new character, you dont have to be a gl but must explain how did he met the gl´s or other characters in the rp, im not going to controll all the npc´s and i dont know what OG means, sorry havent been in the forum too long but i assume it means original and the answer to that is : of course you can create an original animorph but must explain his background (how he got the morphing powers, species, how he will help us etc.) The basic idea is to respect the original storyline so we wont be interfering with jake,cassie etc. as much as id like (still a bit ), but hey! well get to help them kick the one´s butt!!

By OG Animorph, I meant one of the six original Animorphs; but as you said, "...wont be interfering with jake,cassie etc," I'll assume that means no. Okay. It seems like this RP wouldn't do well for me. I just don't know that much about the Green Lanterns. Hope it goes well though. Thanks for humoring me. +1

A dry spell doesn't always mean death. Once the last person to post thread didn't have anything for about 2 days

On the otherhand, this is exactly what I tried to point out to you in your fanfiction.
Even a good RP, which is based on writing by the way, needs to be fleshed out. You can't just throw a bunch of stuff against the wall to see what sticks. And in my experience it can be very annoying to put book grade effort into a group effort when the other participants are displaying subpar writing skills.
Excuses like, "This is my first time writing blah, blah, blah" don't cut it for me.
I don't mean to be scathing or sound like a jerk, but this is the kind of advice that might help you become a better writer. As for this RP, you would do well to look at successful RP's on the forum and see how they do theirs so that you can improve your own.
It's true that a dry spell might not mean the death of your thread. But you could also encourage more people to post by polishing this up a bit.

Hey, he's right. Look at most of the other RPs that have specific canons to deal with. They have clear defined rules and a situation all completely described so that the RPers can jump right in. In an RP where you're going to be going to tons of different planets, you need to start the story off in one single place with a situation all ready in motion, so others can continue.
For the RPs that have no canon-based rules (GESB, Intro Randomness, Free-for-all), it doesn't matter, you just plop in and go. But with RPs like Heroes RP, my HALO RP, etc. there was an introduction post that clearly defined the rules of the RP, and before the RP officially started had a situation detailed to give RPers something to work with.
If you say, "This RP is based on GL and Animorphs...go!" There's going to be absolute chaos with the everyone's intro posts. You need specifics in order to guide the story. Vagueness in canon-based RPs is not good.

OK SO LETS TRY THIS TO BEGIN WITH SO CAN PEOPLE CAN POST MORE REPPLIES HOPE YOU LIKE IT, IF NOT, WELL WHAT CAN I SAY, DID MY BEST
The whole 3600 members of green lantern corp was gathered in the meeting room of Oa ( a big circular room with a half-moon shaped platform hovering 15 feet in the air in the far end of the chamber from from the entrance) to discuss a matter of extreme importance, for the first time since Apokoplis invasion, the guardians had decided to declare a war.
There were nine of them, big headed, blue-skinned humanoids, not even four feet tall and yet powerful enough to shape the universe at will, sitting on the platform, wearing their usual scarlet tunics..
-The yeerks have mocked our peace offering by attacking our home planet-said the one in the middle -and even though our forces were more than enough to repel their attack with ease that is the minor of our worries.-
The one sitting to its left continued.
-As many of you may know, specially our oldest members, the Yeerks are a parasitic species, they take controll of a host by entering its brain through the ear channel, we understand they nature as not necessarily being evil for they just do what they were created to do, but they have great ambition, they have allready spread to 143 sectors of the universe enslaving races such as Hork-Bajir and Gedds and their newest objective is planet earth in sector 2814, if they turn everyone in that planet into their hosts their armies will be enough to overpower us, they must be stopped-
-There are allready six lanterns patrolling that sector- continued the one farthest right-Hal Jordan, Guy Gardner, Kyle Rayner, John Steward, Alan Scott and our newest Member, Samuel Greystone- He meant me of course, Samuel "Sam" Greystone, your average 16 year old kid, that is until I woke up in the middle of the night to find out that DC comics weren't total liars and to make things even better that my parents were controllers, I had to run away from home, and before I did, promised my little brother that I would come back for him.
The farthest one on the left continued -This war is our top priority now so Lanterns with an assigned sector outside the conflict zone, that is from sectors 2671 to 2814 will be relocated as will those of sectors that already have more than five lanterns assigned to their protection, we suggest you charge your rings immediately, we will assign you to your temporary sector in two hours, you are dismissed...-
I flew to the building holding central power battery which had pretty much the same style as every building in Oa, big and round.
It was really crowded as everyone was anxious to get their new sectors assigned, I entered through the big circular doorway and waited as the line of lanterns waiting to charge their rings diminished, finally it was my turn.
I held the ring higher pointing it to the gigantic and golden lantern that was the central power battery.
-In brightest day, in blackest night, no evil shall escape my sight. Let those who workship evils might beware my power, GREEN LANTERN´S LIGHT!!!- My ring shone for a second, then the light went out.
TWO HOURS LATER
Back to the meeting room, everyone was excited and anxious, some seemed worried and others confident-there´s no war we cant win- they said and finally the guardians spoke.
The one farthest to the left -Sector 2671: Mon-El, Markot 5, Malet Dassim. Sector 2672 Krydel 4, Garl Rathbone, Garmin Vid...- the list droned on an on for hours, until, when I could barely stop myself from yawning, I heard my name - Sector 2771 Samuel Greystone and Larz-Garrec-Took- I blinked in disbelief, I had been displaced form my sector!! But I knew I couldn't argue with the guardians so I just kept silence and started to walk out of the room as all of those who had already been assigned a sector had done.
I was outside the room and beginning to take flight when I heard a voice but no sound, the voice came from INSIDE my head.
<Are you the one called Samuel Greystone?>
I turned around but I didn't knew what I expected to see.
<Down here> the "voice" said.
I looked down and saw a species I had never seen before, it looked somewhat between a blue centaur and a scorpion, and had two pair of eyes...

You can't just say that my character called you. Making someone elses character do something is a big no no. But it works in our favor at this moment.
I flew toward the pale humanoid. He was young. I'd have to keep an eye out for any immature behavior. <My name is Larz Garrec Took. Are you the one called Samuel Greystone?> I repeated.

-I am- I answered, I think that if I could have seen my expression in that moment I would have laughed, in my little time in the corp I had seen plenty of species and this was by far the most unusual, for one thing he had no mouth, he had one pair of "normal" eyes and another pair coming from some sort of horns on his forehead, the upper part of his body was more or less human, unless you counted the blue skin and frail looking fingers (six of them) on each hand, but it was the lower part that intrigued me the most, it looked like a horse or a deer, with blue fur and you could have almost ignored it hadn't it been for its tail, maybe 3 or 4 feet long and looking like a scorpion's I'm sure it could have turned me into kebab in seconds.

He seemed offended, and I didn't want to go around getting on the wrong side of people I barely knew so I changed subject.
-OK - I stopped to thin what to say next but the only thing that came was -So we better get going right?-
I concentrated and an holographic "map" appeared from my ring, sector 2771 was more than one million light years away but of course the ring already knew this and the instant I thought about starting to fly it answered in a monotone voice -Sector 2771, distance to target one million and twenty three light years, faster than light travel required, enabling... faster than light travel enabled, estimated time for arrival thirty minutes-
I began to levitate higher and farther away from mmmm Larz, the Andalite.
-Lets go!- I almost had to yell given the growing distance betwen us.
I couldn't see what he did next because in that moment the ring began to drag me into space at an insane speed.

I shot after the human. The sensation of flight was something that no andalite had felt before me, and it was beautiful., if looking a little odd with my species shape.

After a few seconds my speed began to reduce, or at least so it seemed, I looked behind me and saw that the Andalite had caught up with me.
-So Larz, may I call you Larz? Any idea of what´s in sector 2771?- I said as we flew head to head with stars,planets and comets shooting past us incredibly fast.
Maybe this would be a great moment to introduce the homeworld of an species mentioned in the books but never described

Most are described, accept the andalite homeworld, and we wouldn't patrol there because the andalite fleet is keeping the yeerks busy

I said nothing for a while, not knowing what we were facing only made things worse.
The tension grew and grew until I couldn´t stand it any longer.

<I joined the core after the ring saved my life. I was fighting in the last stand for the hork bajir home world. The yeerks were overwelming us, but we fought. Better to die than to be infested. Things actually looks hopeful in the beggining. Dozens of yeerk craft fell with minimal casualties on our side. Then everything went wrong. The formation was broken due to a high tree. They took advantage of our moment of weakness. My friends fell. I came down with them. I landed barely alive inside one of the deepest crevices on the planet. I couldn't even perform the death ritual. But then the ring came. It took me to the core where the guardians healed me and taught the wyas of the lanterns.>

I shrugged _So you got hammered, that's not so bad, really. At least you know what's going on.- I considered for a while. Should I tell him my story? I looked at the Andalite, my only certain ally in millions of milles around. If we were really going to trust each other we had to know as much as we could about each other, besides he had shared his story with me so I started to talk - I have a brother back on earth, a few years younger than me, I suppose everybody need a reason to fight and he is mine. Come to think of it everything happened way to fast -Memories from that night rushed back to me - Two days after I got my ring, after bootcamp and everything I came back home hoping for a good night sleep, woke up in the middle of the night to hear my parents talking outside my door.- I was looking at my sleeping brother from the doorway of his room- At first I thought they were having a row or something, they sounded so excited, but then I listened more carefully. I don't remember the full conversation but some of the key words were "yeerk pool"," Kandrona" and "Andalite bandits", when I asked my brand new piece of jewelery what it meant I ran away, didn't even said goodbye -I considered it would be better to explain myself -To my brother of course- I added in a rush- it's not like I wanted to say goodbye to mommy and daddy slug -I had to wake him up, he had to know why he was going to grow up without a brother, but instead I walk away, down the stairs and out of the house into the night, a lonely tear running down my cheek brings me back to reality, I quickly wash it down with my hand and continue flying and think -I promise I'll come back for you-.
SO IT´S BEEN SLOW TILL NOW BUT I LIED IN BED FOR HOURS THINKING OF A GOOD TWIST AND I THINK I´VE FINALLY GOT IT, THIS IS GOING TO GET BETTER SOON, I PROMISE

I didn't feel like continue talking but I didn't need to, because in that moment I spotted a planet which I assumed was the Garatron homeworld, it was covered by deep vegetation and had small grayish spots that looked like cities around big blue spots I supposed were lakes , but that wasn't nearly as amazing as the scene developing around it, hundreds of fighter ships, some of them Yeerk but others I didn't recognized too were locked in a dogfight, the space was filled with dracon beam fire and the ships persecuted each other in a dead race. A little farther away from orbit yeerk pool ships and tankships exchanged fire with equally big ships whose origin I ignored.
I looked at Larz -Well it seems we arrived at the best possible time, I know those are Yeerk battle ships but who are they fighting ? Andalites?-

It lashed out at a formation of bug fighters. Even blinking would have caused you to miss. It they exploded in a shower of sparks and fire.

Larz had been a long time in this war and some good experience in creating constructs, what could I say? a massive version of his tail had already destroyed a formation on bug fighters before I could even begin of thinking to attack. I flied towards one of the tank ships higher above us, not being able of thinking about anything to original I simply hooked my fist sidewards, a gigantic half-moon shaped beam sliced it clearly in half, the two halves began to float in opposite directions until they exploded. The in turned around holding a minigun, green of course but a minigun is always a total butt-kicker. BLAM-BLAM-BLAM!!! Dozens of shots were fired in a few seconds and a squad of bug fighters exploded, one of them plummeting towards the planet.Then another tank ship, I shot a beam over it and from it came a construct with the shape of two hammers that slammed at the ship from opposite directions. I smiled, we were going to win...

Oh its short for "point of view", see on your first post you talked first person "I" then in this one you swaped to third person, you said "it" and "he".

Completely on purpose.
Larz flew toward the blade ship. He landed on top and held our his hands, spread evenly apart. A trickle of energy leaked out of the ring and into the tiniest cracks and crevices in the ship. On board everything seemed bormal. Until the green came. Every light, computer monitor and wall glowed neon with the color. A lone lantern glowed on the ships main computer. Their was a tremendous groan. An earsplitting creak. And a teeth ratteling rumble. And the hull of the ships cracked. Around the whole area walls splintered like eggshells. The effects of the vacuum that is space took affect. Yeerk and host alike were suffocated and frozen simeltaneously.

The pain!!! A dracon beam had hit me in the back, I flew against it, fighting but it was just too strong, the words came out of my mouth before I could stop them -I-I cant!!- And in that instant my aura vanished, the beam hit head-on, sending me to the Garatron planet, I fell, darkness....
I slowly regained my senses, my vision was too blurry but I could make out some words .

I felt as being picked up, but was too battered too even try to move, the they laid me on something soft.
-Go!-
I felt the win rush at insane speeds, for minutes, hours, I don´t know, then we stopped, and I lost conciousness again.
I opened my eyes and looked around, I was in a big dome shaped building, Taxxons, Hork-Bajir and Garathrons were walking around, then I noticed I didn´t have my ring and panicked, because at the same time I realised were I was, I was in a Yeerk pool about to be turned into a controller!!!
