Alright, this is for all of us involved in the "RAF Can Morph" RPG. Whether you're an Animorph, Controller, or family member, you may post your Character biography and description here.
Before I post my description, I will just say that the time period of the RPG is to be determined. For now, let's assume it's 2011. Anyone who disagrees, we can change it to 1996.

Hair Colour: Dark Brown
Eye Colour: Hazel

Parents: Miranda and Carter
Sibling(s): Parker; younger brother by three years
Maternal Grandparents: George (helicopter pilot in the Second World War) and Page (nee) Benson
Paternal Grandparents: Riccardo and Josephine
Personality: Shy, but can be funny and talkative when he's with people he knows. Has serious trust issues. A good guy, but he is known to have a temper. Suspicions that he suffers from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder and is prone to stress. Gets along with parents reasonably well, but gets into arguments with Parker frequently.
Pet(s): A dog*
Friends: A best friend of ten years named Sawyer. Former best friend Valentina Blaine. Closer to cousins than with friends.
Hobbies: Reading, writing, listening to and playing music.
Dislikes: Most video games (exlcuding Super Mario and Legend of Zelda) and most sci-fi films.

Sibling(s): Shaia; Older sister by 2 years.
Personality: Loner; Self-conscious, and so doesn't like to be around a lot of people. Socially awkward, but as he reads and enjoys science on his free time, he is smarter than the average Sophomore. Most of his younger life was spent studying dinosaurs, and scientific things. Now he studies animals, science.
Pet(s): 2 cats, 3 lizards, 4 frogs, 4 fish, Guinea Pig
Friends: One friend, Sheen Brogan(Moved to next state), Kayla(Disappeared)
Hobbies: Reading, drawing, watching the sky, paleontology, zoology, and science-fiction

Personality: Quiet and introverted, Jessi spends more time buried in a book than in conversation. As a result she's kind of ignored at school. Most people don't know who she is. Some tease her, but not many. Despite being quiet, Jessi is also headstrong and stubborn. She's sarcastic and often comes across as mean, although she doesn't intend to. She just has a tendency to assume that when people talk to her it's either to make fun of her or because they want something. As a result, she's emotionally guarded.
Pet(s): Two dogs. A black lab and a border collie.
Friends: A small group of girls who form the 'smart kid clique' at school. She's close with them, but not close enough that she spends a lot of time out of school hanging out with them. She always feels a little out of sync.
Hobbies: Reading, forum hopping online, writing, roleplaying
Dislikes: Large crowds, meeting new people face to face, practicing her violin.
While you may not have intended for us to be in middle school, TMP, it would be kind of strange to have me hanging out as an adult with you guys. I mean, I guess I could be your teacher that you ran into at the mall, but still...that's kind of weird. What teacher would walk home with a bunch of their students?
For the record, it is really strange to write about fifteen year old me in the third person. I was such a dweeb. :P
Also, if you end up short on characters or something I can take on a second role. I wouldn't mind playing the Andalite as well, or a Controller, just to add variety. But I'll wait until more people have had an opportunity to join.

Parents: Chuck and Lisa (Step-Mother. First Mother deceased; died of genetic disease)
Sibling(s): Ricky, Teresa, Sonya, Matt, and Milly.
Personality: Josh likes making people happy. Although he tries to avoid becoming a door mat to others, he'll gladly work to help others, even at his own expense. He thinks that life is enjoyable, and feels best when he's helping others see it the same way. He often falls back into the roll of 'follower', but will stand for what he knows is right, even if he does so alone.
Pet(s): Three dogs (a boxer, basset hound, and hairless chinese crested), one barn cat, a donkey, miniature pony, two goats, and a few chickens. (...it's realistic!)
Friends: Has several good friends in his Scout Troop, but except for one of his patrol members (Collin), he doesn't really know them much outside of scouting. Has a life-long friend, Bethany, that lives far away, but they keep in touch. Has a few good friends in school (Jacob, Caleb, and Collin (from Scouts)), and only casually knows the other students.
Hobbies: Camping, Climbing, Hiking, Sketching, Reading, Writing.
Dislikes: Calloused people/lack of empathy, looking like an idiot, Rock n' Roll, cold temperatures.

Personality: Talkative, calm people know who he is but don't try to talk to him because of the way he acts in school. He doesn't have many friends. He hates when girls get hurt and tends to protect them for no reason. He is just as good as a follower as being a leader. He is creative and can think of a smooth way out of things if given enough time. He is a bit of a lazy person when it comes to school work but anything else he will do willingly.
Pet(s): none
Friends: Mike: they have been best friends ever since Shaun moved into the apartment complex. They are both on the football team and Mike has more friends than Shaun. Travis: they aren't exactly friends because they are cousins Shaun and Travis did everything together until Shaun moved to the apartments but they are starting to get back into hanging out and stuff they trust each other with everything.
Hobbies: playing football, hanging with friends, videogames, reading science fiction, and watching movies.
Dislikes: Jerks, guys who use girls, school work, liars and not being able to help people when they need it.

So can any of our character be related in some way, or are we all complete strangers? I'm willing to be a cousin or something maybe more original.

Ryno can join, but the Animorphs spots are taken for now. You are free to be a relative or Controller.
Being related to another Animorph or other character is allowed. Just state the relationship.

I agree. I can be on a lot on the weekends, but my RAFaccess is limited during the week. I'm enjoying this, and don't want to be left in the dust.

I'm good at all times.

I usually post one to three times a day in my rps, depending on the importance of the rp (sorry guys, the GESB always takes precedence :P), how much a post from me is needed and how fast it is moving.
I usually work 10-14 hour days, so I try to log on before work around 5:30-6am to post, then I'm on in the late evenings fairly consistently. There's a good chance that when I'm on is not when other people are on, so I may be playing catch-up with my posts a lot. But that's why it's good this is a forum rp and not a chat rp. :) We don't all need to be on at the same time to be active.

We don't need to take turns or all agree to be on at this time every other day, or anything like that, but... we just need to stop every once in a while to let others catch up. If you notice that I haven't posted recently, and it's probably something that I should respond to, then give me a few hours or maybe even a day to get on. Again, it depends on what's happening, but that's basically how to do it, IMO. I like how this RP is fast-paced, but I want to be able to keep up, too.

^Just one thing: Why doesn't she have many friends anymore? A yeerk would know how to be exactly like her, and would think that halting all relatinships with her friends would be...well, conspicuous.

Basically, the yeerk jumped the radar. She disappeared without a trace (supposedly). A few of her friends are also controllers, but mostly everything she knew is upside down. And I just made that of the top of my head just now.

Basically, yes. But it happened while she was under yeerk control. It wasn't by choice. Maybe now she's back on Earth but has been a controller for a long time and looks quite different than before.

@Ryno: What about a cop? You could be security at the construction site, and interact with us from the beginning. Then your tales will be a chronicle of how you've had your troubles with the Andalite bandits from the very beginning. :P

Hair Color: Dark red (not like a dark shade of a redhead's hair color but litterally a dark shade of red...cuz anyone who has seen hair when its red will know that it isnt really red like you see if you pick up a red marker) with blonde streaks that stretches entirely down to the middle of his back, but is usually kept up in a ponytail allowing it appear a couple inches shorter.

Parents: A world renowned biomechanical scientist and biomechanical beta tech engineer (someone who works on ways to get mechanics to be able to work correctly with the human anatomy(possibly strength enhansors or something but mostly its more along the lines of a new way to help heal)), Jasper Tritecka. And his mother was a very well respected scientist, majoring in astronomical mechanics, and human genetics (her life ambition had been to be able to create a way to alter human dna to allow them to no longer need to breath in space.

Paternal Grandparents: Both well known in the field of biological cross genetics (aka trying to find out how to fuse two different bits of DNA; i.e. a human that was genetically combined with the DNA of a bird, allowing wings to be part of the genetics along with the other skills needed for flight) James and Janette Tritecka.
Maternal Grandparents: UNKNOWN (she was an orphan)
Personality: Seeing as how his life wasnt all that fun or even slightly amusing in his younger years, due to being intelligent enough to graduate from Harvard at age 8, it formed him into a very original super genius. He tries to keep all of his thought processes, based solely on fact. There making him appear emotionless, cold and overall ruthless.
Pet(s): 2 pet King Cobra's, and two surprisingly loyal wild animals. A pure bred Timberwolf, and a Seeker Falcon

In his freetime (#1: Build a successful genetic map for fusing two species of animal, 2#: His continuous improvements on his already hitech computer, etc.), but he also enjoys hanging with friends and doing anything to distract him from bordom.
Dislikes: Boredom, incompitance (to early to care about spelling =P), he dislikes being unable to solve a problem.
Religious Affiliation: Religion is a man made belief, meaning there is no true fact behind the idea so it holds no effect over him.

Wow...my phone is horrible...is it strange that I typed that last one up perfectly...20 minutes ago? And all of a sudden it shows up now? And with errors? Lol. Mainly the all over idea I have is...dun dun dun...THIS = anyone whom has RP'ed with me knows Im usually the type to have nothing but the powerful types so i decided im tryin a new species, so why not try a new charie type to! SO if you guys have a problem with him being a super genius i will change it...but idk after looking into all of the stuff I decided to have majoring in, and the classes i looked to into those two colleges...i think Im jealous lol. But yeah also the Yeerk has a small background, he was several different hosts, but only when he found the intelligence in this one, he quickly climbed the ropes over the other average yeerks...(strange how before he was infested he did the same with his fellow humans...huh...lol)
PS and most vital of all!...I am seriously and sinserely sorry for posting when im on this powerful of a sugar rush

Alright, speaking on something that for some reason now seems absolutely amazing to me, what should i change specifically? I ask that not as a dumb question, but mainly because I no a few things i posted were farfetched.....lol I feel awkward like a little kid cuz the idea of this charie hit me enough i wanted to post a massive rant about me begging to keep him a genius...
Ok yeah back on topic. If it is specifically the amount of his intelligence, when i get my computer free of issues I will edit it and remove some of the...beefed up brain powers, cause i gotta admit, its physically and mentally impossible to put forth the effort to learn everything he did in years, in probably 145% more time! And more!...but still he sounds friggen awesome dont lie lmao

Yeah... he seems too ... much. Keep in mind that most of the Yeerk forces weren't too great at much of anything. It's okay to have a docile character.

Yea, I'm not going to lie. I was against the whole "let's-acquire-the-blue-alien" thing. I thought we'd just all stick to touching the cube, getting the power to morph, and run home after meeting the Yeerks--like in the books.
My character isn't acquiring him. I was just waiting for another person to post to tell Larz that I wouldn't acquire him.
Few Andalites would allow themselves to be acquired. The only reason I DIDN'T say anything was because the people who did acquire the alien could use it to back up the whole "Andalite bandit" thing.

I'd rather NOBODY acquired the andalite than everyone. I'm willing to sacrifice the DNA I got if it means everyone else will. The plot would be more logical. :shrug:

I apologize for how completely mentally disabled i seemed, now that im looking back at it plus rereading what I posted...i still think the way he is now is an amazing character. The reason I think he really seemed to click in my head as fun to try is because yes he is REALLY smart, but still compared to the tech of alien races mankinds smartest mouse would probably pose the same amount of a problem.
Second, as i asked before. What should i specifically get rid of? If its at all possible i would LOVE to keep him at least a quarter of his current intelligence. Like would it be good if I just went back through and whacked off half of the college accomplishments n stuff?
I sound like a kid most likely but i dont know I just think the amount of time i could probably play this character specifically, would be immense. Personally I think right now that he is slightly flashy and over the top with his smarts, but that could make a good plot twist later...not my rp tho so yeah

Alright...
First, let me run you by a phrase frequently used by people all over the world: show, don't tell. While it seems like you do have some interesting characters--despite how unrealistc they seem-- but you didn't have to include the occupation and histories of characters who AREN'T going to appear in the RPG in such great detail (Your character's grandparents and parents).
Secondly, your character's intelligence seems to surpass any other individual found not only on earth, but on even the Andalite homeworld. A child prodigy is one thing, but usually, where prodigies seem to excell in one type of area--the maths and sciences-- they aren't as successful in the arts. What you've created here is a person boardering on greek hero of myth. Also, very rarely have two "super geniuses" produced other "super geniuses". I doubt intelligence is inherited, but that's just MY way of thinking.
Thirdly, while I am not entirely sure of the limit of majors and minors allowed in universities and colleges--even for "super geniuses"-- I know that the school I got into limited EVERYONE to:
1) A specialist degree-no minors or majors
2) A double major and a minor
3) A double minor and a major
Your character taking so many difficult courses, spanning different subject areas is, without intending to sound mean or rude, laughable. No person born of fiction or reality is capable of such a workload. No matter what the person's intelligence, this is simply not done.
Here's a few things that hint at Mary-Sues:
1) First and foremost, they seem to be talented at everything; winning special awards and obtaining a certain popularity.
2) Hair colour, eye colour, height: unrealistic colouring [hair, eyes: blue, red, pink, rainbow, etc] that seems to make them flawless. Think anime characters...Basica lly your Mary-Sues.
3) Special weapons, powers and objects: Super intelligence, computers that seem much more advance than any other character's--and somehow develop sentinence-- daggers and swords that are, apparently always on hand, etc.
4) Odd pets: Snakes, dogs and cats that follow the character everywhere, wolves, bobcats, eagles, hawks, etc, etc, etc--in short, animals that cannot be trained, or seem attached to this ONE character.
Also, you may want to keep your posts (whether on here or on the forum) short and sweet. Some people might find reading very long posts to be a chore.
It really bothers me when I have to critique like this. I don't like pointing out flaws in other people's ideas, or things like that. You didn't sound like a mentally disabled kid. Your character seems great...if he were an Olympian. Lots of people have trouble with original characters. This is exactly the reason fanfic readers dislike reading stories about original characters--they're done poorly.
If you're really interested in participating, take more time to think about your character. You don't have to rush, because we haven't even become Animorphs yet. Give it a few days to think it over. Don't give up. A lot of trimming and touch ups and you MIGHT just have something.
Also, I couldn't help but point out that, despite your characters SUPER intelligence....HE STILL GOT INFESTED :p

Reasons why I might vote positive: I would try to acquire the DNA of the fallen Andalite War-Prince in rl; As, I assume, we are going to have a policy against morphing sentient beings and morphing for pleasure, I wouldn't use that morph so often; It might be useful if ONE of us had this morph.
Why I might vote negative: If I have it, its hardly fair that no one else gets it; it's kind of a power morph...like morphing a Giganotosaurus in the Yeerk pool and stomping on all the controllers.
My mind is even; 2 to 2. So it's ip to you all

haven't read the RP yet, so bear with me. (pun intended, as always). In real life, I'd acquire and use an Andalite morph regularly. Frankly, I wouldn't feel any remorse over using another sentients form, *ESPECIALLY* if they allowed me to acquire them as our Andalite friend has. If I was fighting the Yeerks for real, I'd probably have at least 5-10 human morphs easy. I wouldn't hesitate at all, if it meant saving the planet and entire human race. So, if we're making this our decisions, our story, then I vote yes, acquire him! But... this isn't my RP, so TMP does get to choose. If you say so, I'll drop that part, even though that was part of the reason I decided to trust him at all.

I was wondering if I could, ah, encourage everyone to look over their posts before hitting that 'submit' button. There are a lot of errors popping up, some unobtrusive, and some that seem to be directly affecting the flow of this rp.
For example: Gorilla, I get that your character talks a lot. It's just part of his personality, which is cool. But the way he says things are important, and it doesn't seem like he's talking how a real person would. Try to read your dialogue out loud before posting. If it doesn't seem like something you'd say irl, maybe modify it a bit. Each one of your posts seems to have your character saying or doing five different important things at once. I get that you want to get a lot of information into one post, but it's okay to save some stuff for later.
NBA: I know your Andalite is dead now, but voice is hugely important. An Andalite wouldn't say 'Hehe', and an Andalite would speak in a much more rigid way. Remember, they are a society based upon honor and tradition, and even though this particular Andalite is breaking the rules he has still grown up in that culture.
Like I said, I know Larz is dead now, so it hardly matters, but think about it in relation to your Yeerk character. Is your Yeerk a die-hard supporter of the Empire? If so, why? Does he believe in what the Empire stands for, or does he just want a shot at the power that comes with a Visser rank? Is he sympathetic at all to his host, or does he treat it like a lesser species - or even enjoy torturing it for fun?
Oh, and by the way, it's "Ellimist", not "Elimest"
Sorry for the tl;dr.....and sorry if I'm stepping on any toes. I just...teach English...to high school kids...so voice and flow and grammar are all rather important to me.

The standard of Role Playing is to leave each character to their creators. Unless you THOUGHT I was screaming because you misread something I typed, this looks to me like you've taken control of my character. And as I am in control of my character, and it is supposed to be like me, I absolutely know I would not scream.
So no, it's not like you've offended me. But this is not how Role Playing works. I'll play along, but It's not that big of a deal to edit your post...

one of KA's biggest plot holes was the andalite sense of humour she has some acting like robots and one remembering his childhood friend loving games and jokes. And for your information, I was trying to make him sound as stiff as possible. I guess I'm just to "lax" for that so someone else can have the role of ellimists little helper.

Roleplaying 101: You can't say what another character does or doesn't do. This goes from something as large as killing off some other person's character to something as minuscule as making a character fart.
As far as the Andalite sense of humor bit...it is pretty firmly established that Andalite humor is either nonexistent or, at least, very different from what humans would perceive as funny. I have no doubt that Andalites enjoyed their own brand of games and jokes, but they are not anything we, as humans, would find humorous. Additionally, an Andalite warrior is raised in an honor based society that is run by an extremely strict social code, one that is reflected in the manner in which a warrior carries himself. This includes speech as well as physical being.

One other thing...
Gorillaman and BlazingAngel, could you try to use puncuation more often? You're both doing a great job with dialog, but your characters barely ever break in their sentences. For instance,
Hi my name is Sean this is my friend her name is jessi
Hi, my name is Sean. This is my friend; her name is Jessi.
These two sentences are very different. If you don't use punctuation nobody will know how you are stressing your sentences. It just sounds like they're magical men who don't need to breath so they ramble on and how are you what's your name you look familiar.

Honestly there's not much in the present that a controller can do. Pretty soon we'll be getting out of James' house and doing stuff, I think. So maybe there will be more for you to do then.

If we were trapped in a room and the yeerks were 'draconing' the doors, they would need less than one minute to get in. Frankly, it escapes me why K.A. decided to have the morphing process take 2 minutes throughout the series.

In the last few books, the kids are pretty much pros at morphing. They mention being able to do it quicker, and being able to morph jeans. When David and the Auxiliaries join up, the Animorphs mention how they "weren't as fast" at morphing [than the original group].

If I were to do that, I would need two characters because I'm "pulling a David" As TMP put it. I was going to use the same basic character as well so I dont think it would work. I deleted the posts for the controller character anyways. Right now I'm trying to draw/find a picture of her.

When I said "pulling a David", I meant having a character move to a new town and stumbling upon the blue box--which would help us bring the box to our attention and making Kayla a part of the group. I didn't necessarily say she had to go David's route--i.e. betraying the Animorphs.
Any one of us could go rogue. It's up to the individual.
That's the point of this RPG--it's us in the Animorphs universe. Our decisions.

Caffeine has an opposite effect on me. I get super tired with caffeine. You just have to make sure I don't use enough sugar to overrule the effect and then some.

Because this an animorphs based RP. I dont mean to seem rude but in an animorphs based roleplay we tend to stick to things in the animorphs universe unless the RP was specifically created to allow crossovers.
