Book two in the Revenge of the Banned trilogy, An Error Has Occurred. Please enjoy.   Smiley

Prologue

“Is it ready yet?”  Asked Almighty Queen impatiently.
“No, ma’am.”  Said the programmer.  “It’s coming.  But it’s not done yet.”
“Well, make it done faster.”  Snarled Queen.  “I want those RAFians punished pronto.”
“The longer we wait, the more their guard drops.”  Pointed out Yorick Brown.
“The less we wait, the faster our revenge will be.”  Countered AlothAssassin.
“That’s the spirit, Aloth.”  Purred Queen.  “The sooner our revenge will be…the HAPPIER I will be.  And a happy Queen means…?”
“A happy queen means the longer we live.”  Said Aloth and Yorick together dully.  Every day Queen’s insanity grew and grew.  She was as mad as a hatter.  And demanding more and more tribute, more “worship.”  She already had a new, crazy set of rules.
“Stop staring at me like that.”  She suddenly snapped.  “It’s bad for my skin.  Rule number five.  ‘Staring at Queen is bad for her skin.’”
“Yes, miss.”  Said Aloth and Yorick in harmony.  They both looked at the ground, and started to try and not think to loudly, or treacherously.  They would be breaking rule number…
“You’re breaking rule number two!”  Queen screeched.  “Rules number two AND three.  You’re thinking loudly, and you’re thinking I’m insane!  I can read your thoughts!  Get out!  Get OUT!”
Yorick and Aloth fled.  Breaking the rules would mean punishment.
“Now,” said Queen, turning to the programmer, like nothing had ever happened.  “You’re SURE this would work.  It was a pain enough leaving the Internet.  I want to make sure my journey to the Lands Beyond wasn’t in vain.”
“Yes, Queen.”  Said the programmer.  “Don’t worry, it’s coming along fine.”
“Good, good.”  Purred Queen.  “Now, I’m going to go check on the prisoner.”

“Aww, you’re still all alone in the dark, aren’t you?”  Sneered Queen through the bars at her prisoner.
The prisoner glared.  “I will get out of here, Queen.  But, what did I ever do to you?  What did my friends ever do to you?”
“Oh, they did plenty.”  Said Queen.  “They did plenty.  And you did plenty!  That’s why I captured you.”
“My friends probably don’t even know I’m here!  They probably think I’m hunting you down!  Or am on a trip or something”
“Maybe.”  Said Queen.  “Probably not, though.  So, just wallow in despair.  Maybe they forgot you.  Maybe they gave you up for dead.”
“No, never!  They would never stop believing.  Especially not—“
“Oh, shut up.”  Snarled Queen suddenly.  “I’ve had enough of your continuous whining.  Shut up, and don’t think that your friends and family are ever going to find out.”
The prisoner glared at Queen.  “When I get out of here, Queen, you are so dead.  Watch you back.  Because when I get out of here, I’m going to kill you.  And that’s a promise.”

Slightly shaken, Queen walked back to the programmer.  “Queen, your Highness!  It’s almost done.  I should be able to launch it by this afternoon!”
“Excellent!”  Said Queen.  “Soon, my dear friends the RAFians will be dead!  All of them!  DEAD!  FINALLY PUNISHED!!”

Yorick and Aloth were discussing Queen in low tones.
“She’s barking mad.  And dangerous.”  Said Aloth.
“Fine, go on, desert.  See how far you get before she kills you.”  Said Yorick.
“Oh boy, she wasn’t happy when Dagger fled.”
   “Nope.  Not at all.”
“Well, she wasn’t happy after she got done with her period of pure insanity.”
After the battle for RAF had been lost, Queen, Yorick, and Aloth had fled to their cave.  There, Queen’s mind had broke down completely.  She had sat against the wall, staring at nothing, rocking back and forth, and muttering gibberish.  Then, she would glare at the wall and start screaming inarticulately, punctuated with long streams of curses against Richard, the mods, and RAF.  Then she would go back to staring and muttering again.
Eventually, one day, she had just stood up, gathered all of their meager possessions, and swept out of the cave, yelling back at Yorick and Aloth to follow.  From then on, she had been getting more and more insane, eventually coming up with this new set of rules, such as don’t think too loudly, don’t think treacherously, don’t look directly at me, don’t make strange faces in my presence, bow before approaching.
   “Um…guys?  I’m…I’m back.”
Aloth and Yorick jumped up and drew their Dracons, pointing it at the approaching figure.  For a split second, they thought it was Cloaky.  Then, they realized that it was impossible for Cloaky to get out here, he was under constant surveillance, and the voice was female, though hissy, serpentine-like.  They also realized that the pattern on the cloak was the pattern of…
“Dagger!”  Said Aloth with a laugh.  “Look who came crawling back on her belly.”
“Oho, Queen’s not going to be happy with you!”  Said Yorick happily.
Dagger flinched.  “Sh-shut up.  I-I have good news.  She’ll be ha-happy to see me.”
Yorick and Aloth crowed with laugher.  “Happy with you!  Right!”

Unbeknown to Yorick and Aloth, Queen couldn’t be happier.  Their destruction would come this afternoon.  In fact, it would come…
“Queen!  It is finished!  It is prepared to launch!”  Cried the programmer, punching the last few keys on the computer.  “Excellent!”  Yelled Queen.  “Launch it!”
The programmer pushed the launch button…
